He says he feels no pressure but the bookies aren’t buying any of it. You wont get much better than even money for the Italian to be the first man to be dismissed this season after the Swans lost at home to Man City.
In what was generally a much improved performance, it is worrying that we still haven’t got a preferred formation or personnel and there seems to be sections of infighting within the camp.
It is going to be a very testing time over the next few weeks. I found his appointment concerning for this very reason, I felt that he was always going to be under pressure if we had a poor start which seems madness, especially when it doesn’t seem like he had much of a say regarding player recruitment.
The sad reality is who in their right mind would want that job? Should he be pushed out of SA1 then he would have been the 3rd manager in as many years to have been shown the door and many from outside of Swansea see the Laudrup and Monk dismissals as harsh. Add this to the fact that our squad is lacking real quality, poor leadership on the pitch and the unknowns behind the scenes and we may well struggle to get the calibre of manager that we’d want.
One thing I’m pretty sure though is that I would imagine that Huw learned a lesson last season and wont sack before we have someone else lined up………………………….. and Curtis doesn’t want it!!!! (from what I’m told)
At least this time round he won’t be looking for a buyer for his shares at the same time…………………
Would you give Guidolin more time? Who would you want instead?
