According to reports in Germany, Paul Clement is going to use his links with his old club to secure the best ‘boy’ in Europe. The Portuguese winger labelled the next Ronaldo won the golden boy award in 2016 for the best under 21 player (ahead of Rashford at Man Utd in second place). He supposedly had a very good relationship with Clement and was disappointed to see him leave the coaching staff and Bayern are keen on him getting more game time under his belt.
I really can’t see this for one minute. He’s played Champions League football and although he hasn’t been a starter at any stage, he is an impact from the bench. I’d also assume that there are kinder places to loan a 19 year old from sunny Portugal than South Wales in the winter. It is silly season and this one seems more silly than most, will happily be proven wrong though!
