Sundays Premier League relegation scrap has been postponed after the river Tawe burst its banks behind the East stand. Firefighters fought alongside Leon Britton to try and attempt to prevent the water from getting into the stadium but with no luck.
Swansea’s Iranian Stadium manager Itsta Brokan told us that ‘It is highly unlikely that we will be able to play any football or rugby here this season’. It is expected that Swanseas remaining games will take place at the Cardiff City stadium although there are concerns with the venue as the city isn’t used to having a full stadium. The Ospreys will play remaining fixtures on Bonymaen Rugby pitch where the 25 capacity stadium seems adequate.
