What the Opposition Thinks.

Looking forward to tomorrow’s game, I spoke with Tyrone Marshall from the Lancashire Telegraph and asked him the following;-

Are Burnley a better side than the one which got relegated from the Premier League?

Difficult to say before the transfer window shuts, they certainly need a bit more quality before the end of August if they are to prove that is the case. They have a solid defence now, led by Tom Heaton, with Michael Keane and Ben Mee a promising central defensive partnership, but they need reinforcements in central midfield and who they sign in the next two weeks will be crucial to their chances.

Who should Swansea look out for?

Andre Gray was top scorer in the Championship last season and he looks to have improved over the summer as well. He said he had been working on his fitness and has come back as fit as he has ever been. His finishing in pre-season has been exceptional and he scored nine goals in Burnley’s six friendlies.

Who do you see as Swansea’s biggest threat?

Tough to say with the new faces arriving. Borja Baston has a good goalscoring record but I’ve always been a huge fan of Fernando Llorente and he could be well suited to the Premier League.

How do you think the game will go tomorrow?

I think it will be a tight affair. Burnley kept 20 clean sheets last season and they’ll be desperate to start the season with one. I think Burnley will edge it 1-0.

Thanks to Tyrone for answering these for me
